Isostatic punch ROSSI ISO 03.7

The ROSSI CIPA 03.7 isostatic punch represents the combined solution for optimizing the pressing of any type of mixture and reducing the “transparency” phenomenon.

Its specific operating characteristics make it possible to compensate for the non-uniform loading of the mix inside the cavity and the differences in density that the mix itself presents, while solving the problem of the “transparency” of the masonry through the beautiful face of the tile that occurs with some types of mixes.

The isostatic punch is based on the well-known Pascal’s principle applied to an incompressible fluid; thanks to the oil contained between the metal block and the elastic membrane vulcanized on it, it is able to distribute the specific pressure uniformly over the entire surface of the tile, thus ensuring a constant mix density after pressing.

The polyurethane rubber coating is anchored to the metal block at suitable areas such that, when filled with oil, they form interconnecting chambers; during pressing, the oil moves so as to compensate for the deformations imposed by the difference in loading to the rubber surface. The special feature of CIPA 03.7 pad is the double layer of rubber with different stiffness, which gives the pad considerable strength and burst resistance.

The CIPA 03.7 pad provides high compensation and is also made in such a way that the tile is always guaranteed to rest only at the masonry lines.

This punch brings an increase in the quality of the tile, which is all the more appreciable the higher the shrinkage of the mixture used.

The use of this type of pad is recommended in case of squaring and “transparency” problems.

The oil pressure for the CIPA 03.7 isostatic pad averages 0.5 to 2 bar.
