Semi-entering moulds for large formats 1310 x 1310 mm and 800×1600 mm and similar. They are moulds with the formation of the tile with the face facing upwards, designed also to avoid the need for the tile to be overturned when it comes out of the mould. The upper punches enter the die while pushers mounted on the upper plate push the die downwards thus facilitating the formation of the tile in the upper part of the die near the exit. The die is therefore supported by hydraulic support jacks and appears to be floating. The movement of the die in the molding phase considerably facilitates the deaeration of the powder, a major issue which leads to choosing the semi-entering mold in consideration of the large volumes of air to be expelled in the case of large formats. Considering the large mould dimensions and the consequent weights which make the mould change complex, the semi-entering mold is foreseen in the CRS type (Rapid Mold Change) when the press is set up for this solution.
